Vehicle Requirements for Driving with Bolt
- Maximum Vehicle Age
- The car must not be older than 15 years from the manufacturing date.
- This is verified based on the vehicle registration certificate (CIV).
- The verification considers the date of the EC Certificate of Conformity (COC) or the individual type approval.
- Technical Condition
- The vehicle must be in excellent working condition, with no visible defects or mechanical issues.
- A valid periodic technical inspection (ITP) performed at an RAR-authorized service, required every 6 months for passenger transport.
- No structural damage or safety concerns.
- Exterior Appearance and Mandatory Features
- Fully functional air conditioning – absolutely mandatory.
- No rust, major dents, or missing body parts.
- Clean and well-maintained interior, including:
- Upholstery in good condition (no major tears)
- Working seat belts for all passengers
- Clean floor mats
- Functional audio system
- Operational side windows
- Number of Seats
- The car must have at least 4 seats (including the driver) and no more than 5.
- Registration and Required Documents
- The car must be registered in Romania.
- You must have:
- Vehicle Identity Card (CIV)
- Registration Certificate
- Valid RCA Insurance
- Luggage and Travel Insurance
- CASCO Insurance (optional, but recommended)
